Jacqueline "Jackie" Pollner is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of New Hampshire and Massachusetts. She received her undergraduate degree in Developmental Psychology from Plymouth State University in 2009. In 2012, she earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University New England and a Certification in Eating Disorders from Plymouth State Universities Eating Disorders Institute.
Jackie began her career in community mental health working in emergency services, inpatient psychiatric services and outpatient services. During her time in outpatient services Jackie was apart of a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) team and had the privilege of co-leading the DBT Group. After her time in community mental health she worked for an outpatient eating disorder center on a multidisciplinary team. During her time at this center she completed all of her comprehensive training for the treatment of eating disorders.
She has advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for the treatment of childhood anxiety, Family Based Treatment for eating disorders, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and is trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy for the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Jacqueline’s approach to treatment can be described as collaborative, warm, and supportive while also being directive in coaching clients to practice evidence-based skills. Jacqueline believes that teaching clients skills to develop greater self-awareness and self-acceptance can provide them the opportunities to manage and survive crisis situations, regulate their emotions, improve their communication in relationships, and ultimately take control of their recovery.
When Jacqueline is not in the office you can find her in her garden, working with the animals on her and her husbands small farm, on a hiking trail, kayaking, skiing in the winter, or spending time with her husband and daughter.
