Carrie Winn, MA, LCMHC
Specialties: Anxiety, Depression, Mood Disorders, LGBTQ, Couples, Families, Adults.
Carrie Winn received a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA in 2004. Her professional experience includes working in group private practice, community mental health, and group homes for adolescents. Licensed in NH, she is also a Board approved clinical supervisor.
Carrie works with adult individuals, couples and families. She has specific interest and training in couples therapy, solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) including CBT for PTSD, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness based interventions. She believes that there is no one-size-fits-all approach toward self improvement. She takes time to learn about her clients' unique values, so she can support them with the goals they have chosen for themselves.
Carrie's approach is strength focused, down to earth and nonjudgmental. Through a patient, gently directive, and at times humorous approach, she helps her clients develop the confidence that they are incredibly resilient beings, so they can become the best possible version of themselves within the greater system of their lives.
Carrie is also a registered yoga teacher. The principles of mindfulness, acceptance, balance, compassion, and strength are complimentary themes within her counseling approach.
